Auditor
We are seeking an Auditor to join our Carbon Services Department. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting audits, validations, and verifications of carbon offset projects, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and protocols. This role involves working closely with project developers, stakeholders, and regulatory bodies to assess the accuracy and credibility of carbon accounting and reporting.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough assessments of carbon offset projects to ensure they meet established standards and protocols.
- Perform on-site inspections to verify the implementation and performance of carbon offset projects.
- Prepare detailed verification and validation reports, including findings, observations, and recommendations.
- Contribute to the development and improvement of verification/validation processes and methodologies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience with specific standards such as CDM, VCS, Gold Standard is preferred.
- Familiarity with environmental impact assessments and sustainability metrics.
- Professional certifications related to carbon auditing (e.g., ISO 14064) are preferred.
- Fluency in English (additional languages preferred).
