Nigeria Site Visit
At Ampere, we empower carbon projects like the Safe Water Supply in Nigeria to achieve their goals by providing the robust verification they need to secure support from global institutions. By verifying the reduction of GHG emissions and SDGs' positive impacts, we help initiatives like this gain the essential recognition they deserve.
In Central and Northern Nigeria, where many communities struggle with limited access to safe water, this project, developed by the PP, CO2balance UK Ltd., in partnership with TASTE Nigeria, is vital. It provides clean water to the local population through the installation and rehabilitation of around 500 boreholes. Our contribution to the Voluntary Carbon Market makes it more feasible and easier for women and children to get their basic rights of safe water and Gender Equality.
Ahmad Amireh, one of our valued team members from Ampere, recently did a full Site Visit to verify the project's validity and its compliance with the guidelines, recognized methodologies, and requirements of the GHG Program, the Gold Standard. His assessment on the ground confirmed that the project is providing real, verified benefits to the community and environment, pushing toward a JUST Transition and Climate Justice.
We are proud to be the VVB for projects that make real, positive changes.
