Ampere at COP28 || Driving Change in Carbon Markets
The Conference of the Parties (COP) is the annual gathering of world leaders, policymakers, scientists, and activists under the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC). Since its inception in 1995, COP has served as the primary platform for international climate negotiations. COP meetings have been instrumental in forging critical agreements, such as the Kyoto Protocol and the Paris Agreement, aimed at reducing greenhouse gas emissions and limiting global temperature rise.
Ampere’s attendance at COP28 in Dubai underscored its growing influence in global climate governance and highlighted our commitment to enhancing the integrity and transparency of carbon markets. During the event, Ampere showcased its extensive expertise in validating and verifying carbon offset and renewable energy projects across Africa, Asia, and beyond. Our presence allowed us to forge new partnerships, expand our network, and explore opportunities in emerging markets.
